"One of the more mysterious artifacts in the Museum, this stone carving and its partner were found in the 1930's at the old Yavapai County Fairgrounds. Their purpose is still unknown, although some archeaologists have suggested that they were ceremonial. No artifact similar in nature to these effigies has been found in the Prescott area." | |
